STEM Fest 2015 is well underway at Utah Valley University. Five-thousand Utah students are expected to show up for day one of the three day event. Students started coming in at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and it’s been a mad house ever since.

The eighth-grader from Bountiful Junior High was one of about 4,500 students gathered in a gym Wednesday at Utah Valley University, where more than 60 hands-on activities showcased careers in science, technology, engineering and math, collectively known as STEM.

CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) is presenting a $10,000 donation to STEM Utah at halftime of the Utah Jazz-Oklahoma City Thunder game on Saturday, March 28 in support of educational programs for K-12 students in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.

Some guests (including some robots) from the upcoming Stem Festival were in studio. The festival is on March 25-27, 2015 at the UCCU Events Center on UVU’s campus. It is for 7th and 8th grade students. On March 27 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. it’s open to the general public.
