Lesson: Let's Give Them Something to Talk About

Use Mathematical Discourse to support student learning enhanced with visual models created by the technology of ST Math. Explore how to use technology to enrich student learning and understanding of mathematical concepts. Strategies featured are part of effective practice outlined by Hattie and others to increase equity and access for all learners. Facilitate deeper conceptual understanding for students utilizing components of concrete, pictorial, and abstract notation with technology as your springboard. Participants do not need to be ST Math users to benefit from this session. ST Math is a creation of MIND Research Institute a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that all students are mathematically equipped to solve the world’s most challenging problems.
