Funding Priorities
STEM in Motion
STEM in Motion travels to schools and other organizations across the state to provide hands-on, real-world, project-based learning to generate a passion for STEM careers in youth and support the Governor’s initiative for a STEM competitive workforce in Utah. The mobile classroom will expand access to students in all regions of Utah, and facilitate the ability of the STEM Action Center to bring exciting activities that align with high demand STEM careers. It also will engage teachers in professional development activities in STEM. The mobile classroom overcomes funding issues for STEM-based instructional resources that plague many districts, rural and urban. After a very successful pilot year testing out our curriculum, getting industry feedback, and aligning to state standards, it is very apparent that this experience is highly sought after and of great interest to schools throughout the State. STEM in Motion is also available for corporate and community events. You can help us expand this program to reach every district!
There are many ways that your organization can support the Utah STEM in Motion Program:
- A bus donation to provide schools the opportunity to have a bus visit
- In-kind items, such as time, curriculum writing, printing, etc. STEM-related supplies and equipment.
- Company sponsorships to display their technology on the bus or in the classroom.
