Program Overview

    The Utah STEM Bus travels to schools and other organizations across the state to provide hands-on, real world, project based learning to generate a passion for STEM careers in youth and support the Governor’s initiative for a STEM competitive workforce in Utah.

    About the Bus


    Thanks to generous sponsorships from industry partners, a grant is set up so schools will receive their first day for free for the 2018 - 2019 school year. A second day may be awarded to schools through a competitive grant.

    School Options

    The Utah STEM Bus has two schedule options. Grades 4 - 12 option is made up of two hour sessions. Grades K - 3 option is made up of 30 minute sessions.

    Corporate and Community Events

    The Utah STEM Bus is currently unavailable for corporate and community events. Please email or call with any questions.

    Thanks to a $1.5 million grant from Tesoro, the STEM Action Center is transforming donated Utah Transit Authority buses into Mobile Classrooms of the Future. Our STEM instructors are on the road bringing STEM-related curriculum to all Utah schools. Our mission is to support the Governor’s initiative to build a STEM competitive workforce.
