On Friday, March 6, 25 Utah high school seniors gathered at the Utah State Capitol and signed letters of intent to pursue a career in the STEM field. Just like signing days for athletes, this second annual STEM Singing Day, sponsored by Boeing and the Utah STEM Action Center and powered by Tallo, celebrated Utah’s future STEM leaders. Business and community leaders, along with elected officials and students’ family members, were present at the event to honor these students and their commitment to STEM.
This year, Utah STEM Signing Day was featured as a part of Utah’s STEM Day on the Hill. There is a high demand for STEM talent in the United States, and these events are an opportunity to recognize the top STEM talent in the state. Students were selected based on the strength of their online Tallo profiles. The ceremony involved special presentations and networking opportunities for the students, Boeing executives, and Utah legislators.
