Fairs & Camps
We’ve featured some fairs & camps for Utah students to participate with other students around the state. These include competitions in environmental science, engineering & technology, and science in space. Find the competition that is right for you!
Central Utah STEM Fair
CUSF is a state regional STEM competition affiliated with the Society for Science & The Public’s International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). As a committee, it is our goal to excite students about science by providing a venue where they can present and share the lessons they have learned in their classrooms combined with their own interests and discoveries.
Eligibility: The fair is open to 5-12 grade students in the following school district boundaries: Alpine, Jordan, Nebo, Provo, and Wasatch. Students who attend charter or private schools within the boundaries of these school districts and home-schooled students within the Wasatch Home Educator’s Network are also eligible to participate.
Ritchey Science & Engineering Fair
Due to the changes accompanying the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming session of this fair will be held virtually.
Eligibility: Students in the Box Elder, Cache, Daggett, Duchesne, Logan, Morgan, North Summit, Ogden, Rich, and Uintah districts, as well as charter, private (except St. Olaf and St. Joseph) and home schools in Davis and Weber counties, are eligible to compete for all special awards.
Southern Utah Science and Engineering Fair

Quantum Computing Camp
Interested in math, physics, coding, or engineering? This camp is for you! Described by campers as "life-changing" and "eye-opening," our camps introduce students to the exciting world of quantum computing. Through hands-on activities, students learn about quantum mechanics, quantum computation, and quantum algorithms. Through the camps, students learn how to construct quantum circuits and algorithms, all while developing programming skills in Python. Be one of the first students to learn about quantum computing - the technology of the future - at our virtual camps!
Eligibility: Available for grades 6-12 and college students.
