Utah has so many great options when it comes to STEM summer camps. Here is our list of opportunities for summer 2024.
Summer Camps
discovery gateway
Salt Lake City - Discovery Gateway offers a wide range of summer camps for ages 5-10. This year, they've added new Creator Camps that include 3D Game Development, Film Making, and Minecraft Engineering.
red butte garden
Salt Lake City - Red Butte Garden offers camps focused on science, nature, art, dance, and more for kids in kindergarten - 7th grade. Classes include Entomologists in Training, Garden Gurus, and Science Chefs.
natural history museum of utah
Salt Lake City - The Natural History Museum aims to cultivate lifelong skills in STEAM. They offer camps that explore the museum’s collections and the natural environment for students in kindergarten - 8th grade.
thanksgiving point
Lehi - Thanksgiving Point offers a variety of camps at their museums, including STEM specific camps. Camps are available to children in preschool - 9th grade. They also offer specific camps for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the Museum of Natural Curiosity.
LOVELAND LIVING PLANET AQUARIUM
Draper - From animal encounters to behind-the-scenes experiences, Loveland Living Planet Aquarium offers engaging camps for children ages 4-17.
little beakers
Sandy or Orem - Little Beakers features hands-on science camps including astronomy and aeronautics, chemistry, engineering and robotics, dinosaurs and fossils, forensics, and more for children ages 5-13. They have two locations: Sandy and Orem.
spy hop
Salt Lake City - Spy Hop is a digital media arts center offering camps for students ages 9-19 of all skill levels and aspirations in film, music, audio and design.
code adventure
Lehi - All skill levels are welcome to join Code Adventure. Visit their website to view upcoming opportunities.
code N BOts
Draper - Learn competition robotics, mechanical engineering with LEGOs, 3D printing and more at Code N Bots in Draper. Camps are for ages 7 - 15.
douglas space and science foundation
Layton - Douglas Space and Science Foundation offers STAR (Science, Technology, Achievement & Research) Camps for children ages 5 to 15. Camps include Astronaut Training, Odyssey Camp, and Engineering Camp.
stokes nature center
Logan - Stokes Nature Center offers adventures and experiences in Logan Canyon. Camps are built to support students in exploring new places and learning new things about our local ecosystem.
utah tech esmart summer camp
St. George - eSMART summer camp for girls is a four-day, three-night summer camp co-sponsored by the American Association of University Women -St. George branch and Utah Tech University. They focus on middle school girls who stay in the Utah Tech dorms and have activities across STEM fields in Utah Tech labs and natural areas near campus. Campers are divided up in to small teams led by female STEM major college students and activities are run by Utah Tech professors and community professionals.

Salt Lake City - From genetics to coding, animal science to video game design, the University of Utah has a large variety of STEM camps, especially for teens. Visit their website to explore their many options.
utah valley university continuing education
Orem - UVU offers fun and engaging camps and courses for youth of all ages. From STEM to the Arts and everything in-between.
Southern utah university engineering camps
Cedar City - Embark on a covert mission at SUU’s Youth Engineering Academy this summer! Throughout the half day week-long camp, your child will enhance their problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and creativity. Camps are available for children in grades K-12.
UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY ENGiNEERING CAMPS
Logan - USU offers a fun-filled overnight experience for students entering their senior year of high school. Participants will explore an apocalyptic world by engineering and problem-solving ways to find shelter, clean food and water, infrastructure, and more.
byu biocHEM camps
Provo - Explore chemistry as you make molecules and measure changes you can’t see with your eyes. Experiments include titration, making batteries, identifying solutions, chromatography, ester synthesis, electrolysis, and macromolecule testing. Biochem camps are for ages 9-14.
camp invention
Options in Park City, Sandy, Kaysville, and Eagle Mountain - Camp Invention is a STEM camp for grades K-6, where kids unlock their creativity and build their own inventions. This is a national program through the National Inventors Hall of Fame with local, in-person camps. Visit their website to find your nearest location.
