INNOVATION HUB


The STEM Action Center's 2000 sq. ft. Innovation Hub is an incubator for best practices for the project-based, career-focused, hands-on learning activities that often happen in makerspaces, FabLabs, and workshops. The Hub currently offers opportunities for participants of all ages to work on meaningful projects, learn valuable new skills, and collaborate with creative STEM makers and tinkerers around the state.

Open Tinker Time



Have a project idea? Want to learn a new skill? The Innovation Hub is open for drop-in participants on Fridays from 12:00 - 8:00 PM. Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

An Innovation Hub participation form and our Liability Waiver must be filled out by every participant or a legal guardian before participation.

Job Openings - AmeriCorps Innovation Hub Network Members



AmeriCorps Innovation Hub Network Members (also called “AmeriCorps Members”) will be stationed at Innovation Hub Network locations around the state and will be responsible for engaging participants in high-quality, inclusive, and culturally-responsive STEM programming. Members will receive training on STEM activity facilitation best practices and, with the guidance of their Site Supervisor, aid in the development of additional STEM activities, lessons, and curriculums in a limited capacity. To help support the successful facilitation of STEM programming at Innovation Hubs, Members may also participate in the set up, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of makerspace equipment.
