This fall, the CSforALL Summit will convene the national computer science education community in Utah to move the needle toward computer science for all students in the United States.
The 2019 Summit, to be held Oct. 21-23 at The University of Utah, will engage local stakeholders including schools, the out-of-school time sector, faith-based communities, industry, media, and more.
“We’re so excited to host the CSforALL Summit in Utah, both to learn from experts across the nation, and to highlight and celebrate the innovative ways Utah educators are bringing computer science to their students,” shared Tamara Goetz, executive director of the Utah STEM Action Center.
The CSforALL Summit is the flagship community event for computer science education in the United States. The 2018 event announced new commitments from nearly 300 organizations providing 47.3M computer science education opportunities for youth and educators over the next three years.
Anchor local sponsors for the event include Utah-based IT-services company Ivanti, the Utah STEM Action Center, and site host, The University of Utah.
In tribute to the Beehive State, CSForALL mascot robot “Alli” has been retooled to feature a bee body with binary code wings.
