3D Coin Design Contest

To ensure your submission is ready for judging, please keep these guidelines in mind:

• Theme: Your coin must visually represent a specific county in Utah, capturing an aspect of its history, natural features, landmarks, notable individuals, events, and/or culture. Each entrant should have a personal connection to the county they are using in their design.
• Coin Format: Designs should be round, no more than 3 inches in diameter, and no thicker than .25 inches.
• File Format:
  • 3D Printable: Submitted files must be .STL or .OBJ file formats.
  • 2D files will be accepted for the Kindergarten - 2nd grade bracket. For example: .PDF, .PNG, or .JPEG.
• One Side Only: Focus on designing one face of the coin. The reverse will be standardized.
• Relief Design: Use bas-relief style (raised surfaces), which is ideal for coins and 3D printing.
• Originality: All designs must be original. No copyrighted or trademarked elements.
• AI: The use of AI cannot be used to generate the final submission.
• Color: All designs should have a single-color color scheme.

Each entry needs to include the following:

1. Digital 3D file (.STL or .OBJ format) OR .PDF, .PNG, or .JPEG for the Kindergarten - 2nd grade bracket.
2. Design description (maximum 200 words) explaining the design, the county it represents, and its symbolism.
3. Entrant information: Name, age, grade level (if student), school (if applicable), and county represented in the design

Designs will be evaluated based on the following:
