Utah’s First STEM Spot Opens in Parowan

On Tuesday, September 7th, the STEM Action Center and the Parowan City Library officially opened the first STEM Spot in the state providing public access to STEM books and activities that will increase community interest in STEM.

Thanks to our partners at Parowan City Library, Utah State Library, Northrop Grumman, and USU Extension, we will be looking to expand STEM Spots like this to other communities around the state. Just like little free libraries, STEM Spots allow community members to borrow, read, explore, and return items found in the STEM Spots. If you are interested in exploring the possibility of having a STEM Spot in your community, reach out to Lynn Purdin at [email protected].
