Angled Light Investigation

Sarah Broadbent

Title
Lesson Description

This lesson explores how the angle of light from the sun affects the amount of energy the Earth receives. Using a solar panel and volt meter, students can track how much energy is produced based on the angle of the panel relative to the sun. This can be done one time or over a period of time to track and compare results.  A solar panel and volt meter can be set up in many ways but a simple way would be to get a kit like the Solar Science Station. The teacher who submitted this lesson used the Solar Science Station with the attached documents to teach this lesson with her class.
